Amateurfunk: Menschen weltweit erleben!

Hello, folks around the world...

Welcome to my ham radio website. My name is Michael Seebald and my callsign is DH6BD. Here you will find information about myself and my station. Have a nice time reading!

In October 1995, I made my Class C licence (frequencies above 30 MHz), my callsign was DG1BDM. In February 1998, I upgraded my licence to Class 1 (highest class in Germany). I live in the northern part of Germany in a small village called Hepstedt, situated between the cities of Bremen and Hamburg, locator JO43MG. The area is very flat around here. Luckily, I live on a 25 meter high elevation, an exposed position for VHF.

Activities:

My favourite band is 144 MHz SSB. On this band, I regularly participate in contests and collect squares. On shortwave, I prefer the 20 meters and 15 meters bands.

Rig:
• Transceiver: Icom IC 706 MK II
• Transceiver: Yaesu FT-897
• 2-meter-PA: Tokyo Hy-Power HL-180V (170 watts output)

Antennas:
• 2 x 11-element yagi for 144 Mhz, 14m above ground
• 3-element yagi (Mini 2000) for 10, 15 and 20m, height 13m above ground
• 160m loop ( 2 x 80m twin-lead cable 450 ohm ) with
SG-239 tuner - between 12 and 5m above ground
• 1 x 14-element yagi for 430 Mhz

My hobbies:
Besides ham radio, I like to work with electronics and computers. Geocaching, bike riding and cooking are my favourite pastimes. If there is nothing else to do, I enjoy being in company with my friends or build this homepage ;-).
